How do you calculate the age?

Hi,

This may be a stupid question, but how should you calculate your baby's birthday when people ask how old he/she is? My baby was born January 23, so at this time, he is a little over 21 weeks, so I tell people, 5 months. (4 weeks = 1 month) BUT, some people go month-to-month, going from January 23 to February 23, to March 23, etc. So if you go THAT way, then he wouldn't have actually been 5 months until June 23, but that would make him almost 2 weeks off if you go by weeks (June 23 would make him almost 23 weeks).

Anyone know which way to go?

I am not really sure. I try to keep track of weeks(just because I have a baby's 1st year week by week book) but if someone asks I will say Calendar month.

Right now Cade is 1 week shy of 6 months. I count his month birthday's :) June 30th will be his 6 month birthday!
