I also had to wait until 8 weeks to get my first u/s. It's because of the way an embryo develops - this is when it stars to have a head and body. They can take measurements and estimate the due date based on them. I actually came back due a few days earlier than we initially thought which was nice - the sooner the better :)
I would suggest picking up the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy - it's an excellent reference and very calming and helpful.
You are not the only on in the boat. I am 30 weeks pregenant with a son and he is so precious to me. I freak out about everything. I am feeling more movement than i did before and that helps. I am eating alot more too. Don't freak out to much your baby is just fine. I live with my boyfriend and i blessed to have him in my life. Freaking out is normal.
Hi!
I just found out last weekend that I am pregnant.
I also had to wait until 8 weeks to get my first u/s. It's because of the way an embryo develops - this is when it stars to have a head and body. They can take measurements and estimate the due date based on them. I actually came back due a few days earlier than we initially thought which was nice - the sooner the better :)

Good luck!
