I think it will be easier to just move into the peds office...all winter we've been in the peds office for one thing or another ...reflux *both kids lily's off the meds now so far so goo d* long lasting colds.. about a month ago i took lily in for an ear infection they were weighing lily and alex vomited EVERYWHERE... strep for him ... then last weekend alex woke up saturday saying his ear hurt so off to the little clinic... double ear infection..boy has only had one ear infection in his life prior to this..both kids are congested again... this doesn't even add in dh who had his gall bladder removed after a couple er visits multiple specialist etc...
NOW alex was next door playing thursday i was over there with him talking to the neighbor while all the kids were running around... alex woke up this morning saying his legs were hurting didn't thinkk much of it just figured he over did it with the running aorund... he came home from school walking a little funny so told him to just take it easy for the rest of the day... dh gives him a bath today his legs are COVERED in BRUISES>.. we've had this issue with him before so calilng the ped in the morning *they are open 2 hours on saturday* to try to get him in monday to get some blood tests and such ran...

Oh gosh. Sometimes this is why I think I have only one kid....I don't have enough energy to worry about two!

I hope you get the answers you need on Alex and that both kids are feeling better soon.

Man, you are always at the ped office. Just ask them for a cot in the back LOL. Oh and poor alex with his legs. I do hope you don't have to go back to the ped office much longer.

well the ped wanted him in this morning... she ran a CBC and even though his ears are cleared *double ear infection last weekend* he still has an infection she said the anti they rxed at the little clinic wasn't what she would have rxed and that since he's 5 if he's complaining about his ears or throat on the weekend to just give the office a call they'll page her and she'll call something in for him. he's also NOT anemic she thinks he's just an easy bruiser *which i am also* and being a boy it just appears worse at times... they put him on an anti and a cough and decongestant med...
can someone tell me how my 5 year old is 3'11" and still on y 41 pounds which is what he weighed back in sept when they did his 5 year check up LOL
on the plus our insurance doesn't have a deductible so we just have to pay a copay each time we go in and i put extra money on the flex card figuring alex and lily would share back and forth.

that's insane that he hasn't gained any weight. I'm glad that he might not be anemic. He just takes after you!!

Glad to hear there aren't any major issues with the bruising. About the weight gain, when kids are sick a lot, growing takes a back seat to trying to get well. With the winter ya'll have had, it is no wonder why he hasn't gained weight. If he can get well for a period of time, I bet you will see a growth spurt. Good luck!
