And today my bike got stolen!

This just hasn't been a good week. My sisters gave me a giftcard to REI for my 40th birthday, and a week ago I used it to buy a fun ride-around-town bike. And today that bike was stolen, right off of my front porch (and behind a locked gate!) while I was at church.

I've posted it on Craigslist and reported it to the police and I am PISSED and want to find the jerk who took it and tell him exactly what I think of him.

The bike is worth less than the deductible on my homeowners insurance, so we're not going to make a claim and of course not going to replace it. But I'm just sick about this.

The idiot who took it also left behind the much nicer bike that was right next to it--a vintage touring bike that would probably cost a couple of thousand to replace with a comparable bike.
