I just get our Sunday paper, which is $1.50 an issue. I figure with the Sunday coupons that it usually more than pays for itself. However, I have long since given up the daily paper which I read online.
These days, newspapers aren't about the RELEASE of news. It's about COMMENTARY on what's happening, opinions on how it affects the community, community happenings in the wake of the news.
They know they can't compete with today's technology/media RELEASING news. So, they take a different approach.
This is what we do, too. Read online Mon.-Sat. and buy the Sunday paper for $1.50. We started this in January. In addition to saving money, it saves paper and reduces paper clutter around the house :)
