A lot of places will start putting backpacks on clearance soon. Last year, I got a preschooler-sized Dora backpack at Kmart around this time for $3. Good like finding something inexpensive :)

I got the jeans at goodwill last night
I found a backpack here at the house this afternoon so no shopping there
I have been going shopping thru out the week and just added the receipts up this morning I also went thru the girls clothing they already had as well
the problem was it is cooler than normal here the temps have been staying in the lower 70's for the most part during the day and even cooler in the morning like high 40's so I needed more fall like clothes not summer stuff which did not help my budget any

I really hope I can find some cheap shoes at walmart only because I want new ones since hand me down shoes never fit my girls well

I have been looking at yard sales and craigslist/freecycle hoping to find clothing but no such luck

You might also check Marshall's or TJ Maxx for the shoes, if you have one in your area.

I am off to see what Ross Dress for less store if not walmart it is
I do not like Payless shoes because my one needs extra wide and a more flexible type shoe My oldest has to be picky on shoes that are comfy

I got a few things a Kohl's on clearance/sale but not much I think one outfit for my middle dd's birthday shirt/pants and a shirt with a jeep on it for the youngest dd
