free pool still a flop

someone gave us a pool. The thing has been a royal pain in the neck. We flattened the yard, blew up the float ring and started searching for all the holes. OMG, this thing has SO many holes in it! We've been struggling with this pool for 3 weeks now. Finally, we got water in it. The ring still keeps going flat and we have to blow it up, and it fell off the level spot, so there is a deep end, and it's super cold hose water, so I turned up the water heater and we put 3 tanks of hot water in it to take the chill off. The kids played in it this evening until I called them in for bed. My ds glanced out in the back yard and says "mom, the pool is leaking" When I go out there, well, leaking is an understatement. 3000 gallons of water are gone....grr
I'm sorry, how frustrating for you! This is one of the reasons why we just join the pool every summer. It's $300 for all of us for the entire season. We can bring unlimited guests (who have to pay a daily fee of $6 -$8 a person) - you can even have birthday parties there. If we lived in the town where the pool is, it would only be $150 or $200
