Wow, mine are usually $180 for the whole weekend (Friday lunch through Sunday brunch), including room and board, but I went to a boarding school and they put us up in the dorms.

I don't think you should reply to that email. If your dh wants to say something, then he should, but you certainly shouldn't.

I think $150 is a lot for a reunion, but I've never found mine to be interesting enough to attend

It is expensive but so are alot of them...mine included. Not worth it for one night. I certainly would not go if it were "breaking the bank" however. I would not reply to the email. What is done is done. I agree in this day and age they should try to think of the financial hardship that so many are under.

Wow, that is pricey.

I must be in the minority b'cuz I would have replied and said something like "I'm not trying to be difficult, but I would like to express my concern that there wasn't a cheaper option."

Granted, I've never been to a reunion (young one here, lol) - but I have to wonder why they don't do a cash bar and maybe even the souvenir separately. It would make it so much easier on those that didn't want things like beer/wine or the souvenir.

I hope they're more frugal when they plan my reunion, lol.

Mine was about $160 per couple for the whole weekend. Friday night included light appetizers, Saturday was a family picnic and a formal that night with a meal, and then Sunday we attended church as a class. We did not have to lift a finger and some type of planning company organized the entire event. It was worth every penny.

This is just for one evening of appetizers, dinner, beer and wine, dj and some door prizes.
