Hi everyone, my name is Salena I am a stay at home mother of two with a third on the way in February. I am joining in not because I am frugal at all, but because I desperately need to learn to be. I am suffering feeling like I am not good enough, we are in debt we are having a lot of financial troubles I feel if I could get a job we would be ok, but realistically it wouldn't work, we have 1 vehicle and I haven't worked since we got married 4 years ago.

This all started a little over a year ago, our apartment burnt down and we lost everything we had, no renters insurance so we had to get credit cards to help start all over. We still don't have many things that we need and I am worried we won't be able to get them. This pregnancy was a shock, I was taking precautions and tried not to get pregnant but I guess when it is meant to be it's meant to be.

I guess what I am saying is if any of you could help me/teach me the things to do to save money anywhere and everywhere I would greatly appreciate it.

TIA

Salena

Actually you can make both of you working with just one vehicle work. My inlaws did it for 30+ years and dh and I managed with one vehicle for 10 years and if need be could do it again even though we both work.

I worked night shift at UPS, he worked days at another company. It was perfect. No need to pay for child care and it allowed me to still have my weekends with my family. Anything is possible, you just have to look at all your options.

I also returned to work after 14 years of being a stay at home mom. Four year out of the work force shouldn't be a problem as long as you are flexible in what type of work you are willing to do. Ie.. don't dismiss ringing a cash register, stacking shelves, cleaning an office etc.. There are lots of options out there.

Welcome to the board.
