Happy New Year to everyone! Here's hoping that 2010 is a great one!

Kelly & family in the metro St. Louis, MO area. The *at home* family consists of dh, myself, 13ds, 11ds and sometimes 18ds (college student) plus 2 dogs. I also have 2 kids not living at home--23dd and 26ds.

Sarah and family (DH, DD 11, DS 8) living outside Baltimore, MD. I've been on this board for a while, although not nearly as visible recently as in the past.
Current challenges: DH lost his job 7 months ago and hasn't gotten so much as an interview in the intervening time. He's back in school, working on a network security certification, but in the meantime we're actually doing o.k. The great advice I got here in the past and the good frugal habits that have been a part of our lives for years now mean that we're able to manage on just my salary at least for some time yet (we had built up a very good emergency fund prior to his job loss, plus had paid off all debt except mortgage and student loans). I think we'll be secure through the spring, by which time I hope his extra coursework and improving economy will lead to more job opportunities.
My name is Heather and we live in the Detroit-Metro Area. I am a teacher and my husband is an EMT Supervisor in Detroit, Michigan. We are doing very well, and are trying to live a debt free life, but first we need to get debt free, so we are living

Hi,
My name is Jessica. Married with one child. As of right now we are staying with my sister. We are planning on staying one to two years to get debt free. We pay her monthly, it's just cheaper to stay with her. :) So my 3 plus her 5 equals 8people. :)
