The problem with cell phones is that the plans change so often so what one person could get, you can't get anymore - and also a lot of your service depends on the actual phone. Example: my work has Verizon and so do I; I have NO problems with dropped calls, poor service, etc. - but they complain about it at work ALLLLLLLL the time. Their actual phone has issues.

Also know that with Verizon, you can't get friends and family unless you have a plan with so many minutes (I think 1,000 or something?). So be sure you check into that with any provider.

And definitely try to get on a family plan. That way if you use very little minutes but your fiance uses a lot, it balances out.

Do either of your company's have cell phones? If so, you might qualify for a discount. Just for our company using Verizon, we get like 15% off or something like that. Military gets discount, too. It's worth asking about with whichever provider you choose.

Good luck - and try not to fall off your chair when they give you prices ;)

We have a Sprint family plan with up to four phones (we only have 2), unlimited data and texting and 1200 anytime minutes. It comes with free mobile to mobile calling and free nights and weekends starting at 7 pm. We pay about $120 for plan and insurance. It is our only phone, we do not have a home phone, we elimated that a while ago because it seemed pointless. Just so you know, we have a blackberry and a droid phone so data is used constantly.

I've got Sprint too. I've got a pretty nice plan with unlimited text and data with 500 minutes per month (I never come near 500 minutes). I get a really good price for it because I'm what's considered a "premiere customer" since I've been with them for over ten years. I really want one of their 4G phones, too, but it would mean an extra $15 per month for the 4G data upgrade. I don't use the data enough to justify spending an extra $15 per month, so I'll just stick with what I've got. I use the Palm Pre.

We have AT & t but that is because it is the only one that works in our area

not sure the plan amount since dh uses it more for his business and I have a phone on the plan so I can be reached since my girls gets plenty of services and school needs to talk to me a lot more than most students

We have Verizon for the cell phone. Dh and I share 500 minutes. But with Verizon we get free In Calling. So any call/text we make or receive to/from another Verizon phone is free. We do not buy the data plan for our phones. It's like 75$ for 2 phones. Our service is great with Verizon. I am able to make and receive calls in places when I had a AT+T phone couldn't. No issues with dropped calls. Got long range. We have Time Warner for All In One. Phone,Tv, internet. That's 163$. Not very frugal. But we like the service we receive from Time Warner. Which is why we stay with them.
