The problem with cell phones is that the plans change so often so what one person could get, you can't get anymore - and also a lot of your service depends on the actual phone. Example: my work has Verizon and so do I; I have NO problems with dropped calls, poor service, etc. - but they complain about it at work ALLLLLLLL the time. Their actual phone has issues.
Also know that with Verizon, you can't get friends and family unless you have a plan with so many minutes (I think 1,000 or something?). So be sure you check into that with any provider.
And definitely try to get on a family plan. That way if you use very little minutes but your fiance uses a lot, it balances out.
Do either of your company's have cell phones? If so, you might qualify for a discount. Just for our company using Verizon, we get like 15% off or something like that. Military gets discount, too. It's worth asking about with whichever provider you choose.
Good luck - and try not to fall off your chair when they give you prices ;)

We have AT & t but that is because it is the only one that works in our area
not sure the plan amount since dh uses it more for his business and I have a phone on the plan so I can be reached since my girls gets plenty of services and school needs to talk to me a lot more than most students
