But I did want to answer your question. There is a way to see the outline view for just one thread. I'll use this one for an example. This is the address for the first post in this thread as I copied it from my browsers navigation bar:

What you do to see this thread in outline view is to change "...mb/message.asp..." to read "...mb/outline.asp..." AND change "...&msg=..." to read "...&tid=...". The new address should look like this:
http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/outline.asp?webtag=iv-ppfrugal&tid=30676.1
For some reason this only seems to work from the first message in a thread. When I've tried it from the 2nd or 3rd, I've either been sent off is cyber space to wander alone or gotton just the replies to the message I was in.
