Year? Anyone have any thoughts on these two books for a newbie?

Hi Angie! I liked them both and they both have good information. Diabetes for Dummies is a bigger book, but the Type 2 for the first year helps narrow the topics to what is the most important to know 'right now'. I bought Diabetes for Dummies at Sam's club for $14. Michele

Have to admit, I have not bought a book.

I found Type 2 the first year wonderfully helpful. It was laid out in a manner that let me learn as much as I wanted to but I felt "justified" in stopping if I started to feel overwhelmed because I was reading ahead. Used copies are available on www.amazon.com. I think I got mine for under $12
