Gosh I feel so depressed. Stress of life, Kids, fights, bills, Normal everyday life. Then being hypogloxcemia. I suffer the consiquesnces of my actions. Just when I think I am doing ok I start "feeling bad" (lows) I remember drinking a tea with "sugar" in it the other day. I got the cups switched and didn't know it (BF's) and I already drank half before I realized It was the wrong one. I make 2 pitchers of tea. one for me ( hands off) and one for the family. and well I fixed it in 2 glasses that were the same. I set them down and didn't remember how I set them when I got them cause I was called away. Well now I am suffering from it.  Headaches, sweating, Dizzy.

ughhhhhhh I hate being hypo. Any amouth of sugar affects me big time. And it takes days to get over it. Usuall about 3 days. I don't know why either. Its just so depressing cause I see SUGAR and want it and yet I do my best not to have it and when It becomes an accident , ( I didn't even get to enjoy the fact I was cheating) ( grin) NO FAIRRRR!!!!!!! lol

I am sorry I am just venting pleaseeee don't take offence.

I'm sure no offense was taken by anyone..everyone needs to vent once in awhile.

To avoid the mishap with the tea happening in the future, why not just make unsweetened tea and have those who want it sweetened, sweeten it themselves? Sounds like you need to treat yourself to some time for just you. What about a pedicure, or just a long bath by candlelight..alone!

Take care of you.....

Hi Lil,

I hope you feel better already. Give yourself a little space. A friend wrote me a note the other day for the name of a diabetic that always faithfully follows their diet so that another new diabetic could talk to them. My response back to her was that there was no such person alive. We all make mistakes and hope we don't hurt ourselves and probably 99% of the time we don't. My only suggestion would be that you make one outcher of tea and let your bf put his own sugar in his glass. Just a thought.

It is hard when you have been hypoglycemic to control your eating. Even when you eat what you are supposed to eat it seems that you can't get enough. It certainly is hard. But beinga ware of what is happening does help.

A gentle hug,

Mary Frances

Hi Lil..buy the puppy a Kong toy and fill it with little treats or a big treat with peanut butter on it..it will keep him entertained to give you alone time.

I got the bathtub graphic at http://www.my-smileys.de/. It's in the first section, "Alltags & Co." This site is in German, but if you don't know German, you can just click through the categories on the left to look at them all. You can click and paste the HTML code, just make sure you have the right choice of code selected. More than likely, you'll need the one on the bottom left of the codes, starting with

Lil,

I have been told a stone bruise takes as long to heal as a fracture. You obviously broke a blood vessel in your foot and that is what has caused the big bruise. The blood has just sunk to the lowest spot and that is why it doesn't hurt that much. There really isn't much more you can do for your foot. Rest, immobilization, elevation, and probably heat at this point are all you can do. I didn't find that it took any longer for my broken toe to heal than normal.

Now you can enjoy having your son wait on you and the puppy at your feet! I do hope your foot feels better real soon and I am glad that you are taking the ibuprophen and not aspirin at this point. Aspirin acts as a blood thinner when you take lots of it.

Get well soon,
