Just wanted to send a short note to you all, that I went to the hospital this past Friday for a few tests (EKG, CT scan, and blood tests), since I was having really bad tightness in my chest and shortness of breath. Turns out that my heart and lungs are ok, thankfully, but I do have esophagitis or what is also known as hiatal hernia. That is what was causing the shortness of breath, and pain in the center of my chest.
It is not severe and can be helped by a 2 week treatment of a 40 mg dosage of Prilosec. I have been taking it for 2 days now, and finally noticing a bit of a difference. I just have to steer clear of spicy foods and acidic drinks from now on, but that won't be too difficult to do. Lastnight I had a horrible painful migraine, and not sure if it was the Prilosec that did it, or what. So I am going to spread out the dosage by taking 1 pill in the afternoon, and 1 in the evening, and not both together like I was doing, and hope that the migraine won't return.
I still have to make an appointment with my regular doctor, for a follow up, and also to see why I am having these migraines so badly, so much. If I can get that taken care of, I will be doing much better then.
Hope you don't mind me writing, and letting you all know how things went.

Hi,
I am glad all the awful things were causing your pain and that you know what was causing in and how to treat it. We can deal with things when we know what they are and how to treat them. I do have one suggestion and that is watch the fat level in your diet as that will make a hiatial hernia and esophoghitis worse.
Hope you feel better real soon,
Mary Frances
