Question about D-Care products

Hi ladies,

I am hoping you all can help me. I have seen the D-Care products at our local stores and pharmacys lately. Has anyone heard of these? Also, they have what is called Sugar Blockers which help to bind the sugar in foods so that they don't enter the blood stream. It says that the pills help to even out blood sugars and help with high numbers. Has anyone tried these pills??? Just leary of putting anything into my body that might harm it or do no good at all.

Thanks in advance for your help, You ladies are great!

Hi Melissa and welcome to the board. I am one of the community leaders for this board who also happens to be a type 1 diabetic for over 28 years now and been on a insulin pump for over 6 years. My best suggestion to you is to calll and ask your doctor about them, because he/she would be the best person to adise you on these things due to them getting many samples of diabetic care products and medications from the manufacturers. You can also ask a pharmacist their advice since that is what they do for a living is fill

Haven't heard of those products, but have just recently purchased Choice that I think is a new line. The foot cream is nice. Am putting together an emergency kit so I also bought their snack bars. Have a whole is of things that I need to get together.

I'm a "newbie" and am in diabetes education classes now. They said the sugar blockers aren't good; neither are the carb blockers. Am limited to 8 x 15 carbs daily, and am battling how to get them all in.

This is scarey. Only side benefit is that I'm losing a bit of weight.
