I think I found our "candy store"

This is not a commercial message and I am serious with this posting.
While shopping at the market in Dallas TX I came upon peanut butter with splenda in it.....I almost did a cartwheel right there.
Now that I am back home I went to my local market and discovered that there are a whole host of items now being made by major companies that taste just like the real thing.
For those of you who are interested go to www.carboptions.com and look at this site for more information.

It comes as no surprise to you how much you miss somethings when you can not have them!
I tell you Harriette, even if it due to the Atkin's craze I will gladly take what I can with the low carbs. Now I just have to find out when our super center Walmart will have these foods in their store, so I can help myself to some of their wonderful foods. I want to try the Alfredo sauce out along with a few other items. So now I am so excited with what I will be in search of at the grocery store. So we shall see how many of the local grocery stores have these products, which I am going to be calling before I head in any of those directions. I can just hope that one of the many have these products in their stores. My husband is so thrilled do trying to watch his carbs so he can loose more weight, but also that they have foods I want to try out especially the peanut butter due to my love of it on a slice of 12 grain bread. Yummmmm
Like you I can only hope with all my might that there shall be more to come. We all need things like this so much to help all of us keep fit to the best of our abilitiess while keeping the weight from coming on at the same time. So here is to the future full of great foods fit for us diabetics.
Funny I read this post tonight. I also saw a marinade by this same company in the store today. Yeah for us. I agree though, read the labels to see what you are getting in place of carbs, i.e. the trans fat that was mentioned. As with everything else it is a trade off but I am so glad that more and more foods seem to be out there with low carb options. Thomas' makes a low carb bagel (15g net carbs I think - instead of the usual 40+) and it is pretty decent as long as you cook it well. Now if they would just come up with more than just plain and wheat!
