i need to completly start over with meals it seems.... dhs' gall bladder was removed so he needs low fat meals.... add to that dh and alex *lily too but we have

Sounds like it needs to be low fat, and low acid as well. As someone who eats gluten-free, and now dairy free...I sympathize with your plight, lol.


A good resource for low fat meals are the Dr. Dean Ornish books (I have "Eat More, Weigh Less"). They are low fat vegetarian recipes, but many of them are excellent.


I think cooking meals in a crockpot would be a good way to go, because you can virtually eliminate any added fats or oils. You can also braise things in water or broth or wine, instead of sauteeing in oil. If you eat fish, baked or grilled fish and steamed vegetables is a terrific meal. Rice is always good,
