flavors of diet V8 Splash there are besides tropical and berry blend? I have tried both, but thought that there was actually another flavor that I had not tried, but just did not find it at Walmart. I ended up buying the berry blend that my 3 year and I love so very much. I also got me some of that great Gerber baby juice since I happen to have a couple of $1 off coupons for them and at only .98 for a 4 pack why not at that great price. LOL I have found these to help me out when I am having a hypoglycemic reaction and cannot get something to eat right away with having to also take care of my two little ones and with 14 grams of carb I could not pass up on it. I think the taste of the Gerber juice is so much better and no so much sugar in it at all.
I very much appreciate any help you can offer me with the V8 Splash question, because I really would like to find another flavor for us to try out. I sure hope you had a great weekend. Take care and do have a wonderful day!

I'll do some hunting when I shop tomorrow, and see if I can find any other flavors. Am going to try to hit Costco and Fry's (Kroger owns it).
I like the idea of the Gerber juices. Do they come in cans or bottles?
I still haven't made up my emergency kit yet. Have a few things bought, but not put together in a carryall or whatever. Was on the Prevention Walking site (first time on message boards) this weekend, and they were asking what we'd like in a walking kit. (hee hee - all I could think of was stuff for my diabetes) When they offer it for sale, I'm sure to get one and add my diabetes hypoglycemic stuff. Sounds like a good idea, huh?
Of course, I shouldn't wait until they get around to selling something. I need to put together something to leave in the car. Have another meter that I'm going to put in the kit. I wonder if heat affects the strips and machine. What do you think?
I was 83 today! I'm not ready for summer yet!
:-)
It's going to be around 86 on Saturday, my birthday. Poo!!!
Little groggy here tonight. If I remember the variety correctly there IS a third V8 splash....diet and i think its called strawberry kiwi....
the festival food store had 3-4 other varieties of regular not diet that were new varieties... mango and another i think guava with something else in it. But am pretty sure the other diet variety they had WAS strawberry kiwi.(it might be called kiwi strawbery but Im pretty sure the strawberry part was first.)
Dont know if you have tried any of the cranberry light products but I think its Ocean spray who has now come out with White cranberry light. The white cranberry is NOT as tart as the other cranberry. I really liked the white cranberry peach ...but they havent come out with that in the light version!! But they also have some other like crangrape, etc that also come in the light versions.

Hey Kathi, I am so glad that you mentioned an emergency kit since I have not had

There's strawberry/kewi, some mango/something, several smoothies, or darn...I promise I'll look again and write them down for you. I did try, though.
Emailed LifeScan about the meter & strips with our outrageous heat towards and during summer. It's not unusual for it to be 115 degrees or so all summer in Phoenix. Don't let anyone tell you "but it's a dry heat...". That's a big, fat lie! Hot is hot, is hot! Of course, in Michigan where I was born and grew up, the humidity drives you crazy. So, one can complain about the weather no matter where they might live. I like it in the 70's for longer than 2 weeks! Aw heck, no pleasing me, huh?
I'm very sensitive to the heat and get dehydrated very, very easily. Was in the ER twice last June because of dehydration, and that was in one week! I hate IV's!
Thanks for the info about the Gerber juices. They sound like they'd be just the right size for me. I have a tendancy to get carried away with juices. If 4oz is good, 8 is better, and more is wonderful! Of course, unless I include the carbs, I'm out of luck with my BS.
Ha ha...just occurred to me...BS (blood sugar) is bulls__t also. Rather appropriate, I think. I'm being compulsive about measuring, and then I worry even more!
I'm not doing very well, and my mood is suffering. Didn't sleep at all last night. So, slept from 10AM after I took my post-breakfast level until 4PM, more or less. One of my cats kept waking me up to check on me, I think. Or...maybe she was just hungry. She's one of the two diabetic cats I have. I keep dry food out for them, but they like snacks just like us.
Sorry to bend your ears...tire your eyes...
:'(
Sometime the next week I hope to go out with another friend. She's so busy with her 83 yr old, diabetic, demanding father that it may not be possible. I'd sure be satisfied to just go have a cup of tea and talk with her.
Rec'd two cards (1 from him & 1 from the cats)from my x-h today, but won't open them until Saturday, the 13th. Won't have any presents so that'll be my treat.
It's too darn hot already! Trimmed bushes and cleaned 5 very heavy litter boxes yesterday. My BS was 130 after, so exercise does work!
Thanks again for the good wishes. I'll take as many as come!

I checked the Walmart here tonite. They DO have the strawberry kiwi diet in the big bottles. They also had one kind in the small 6 pack. I think it was the tropical blend.
they also had tropicana 50 something drinks. i want to say 50/50 and im sure it wasnt that. its supposed to be 50% less sugar. Not in the OJ, but they had apple juice, grape juice and i think mixed berry. This was in what i think were maybe 8-10 oz bottles. These were actually this time in the row they have seasonal stuff in. Last week it was on an end aisle. I think I might have seen one of the cran lights too in the small 6 packs. I didnt check out the price so not sure on how cheap or expensive they might be.
By the way, i seem to remember you making a comment in another thread but dont remember which thread, so I thought i would add it to this message. Have a long distance friend who is looking to get a piece of exercise equipment...and i also cruised past the exercise video's. Will say it depends a little if you have DVD or VHS capabilities. With the VHS they did have some i think maybe on markdown(they had a huge display right around new years) and the single VHS tapes now seem to be down to like $8.74 a piece. The DVD's singles were maybe as cheap as $12. If you want to do weight training....Kathy Smith had a DVD 2 set on weight training to lose weight. I think that might have been around $17. But they did have some Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds single ones to. They did have one of her sets with the stretchy bands and i think it was 3 VHS and or a 2 DVD set that basically had the same as the 3 VHS. I think the VHS set was around $25 and the DVD was around $32. Walmarts are a wee bit cheaper than Targets, but target also has a bunch of them. Target also had more sets of tapes, including some in what i would call "boxed sets"...one of them was quite big...and I think might have had some of the series called something with the word Firm in the titles. I think on the Rate your Videos and equipment(exercise stuff) message board here, I HAD heard good things about the Leslie Sansone tapes and also some comments that the Kathy Smith weight lifting had good basic info with proper forms to use. With the weight lifting that can be really important. Have also seen some people posting on that same board I think to sell and others looking to buy specific tapes or CD's. Its also possible your library might have some. That could be a cheap way to try before you buy!! Sams club also has had an assortment of those tapes pretty cheap. Dont have a costco around, but am guessing it would be about the same. This could be a good time of year to buy that type because it seems like at least at Walmart they have gone through a bunch and seem to have marked the prices down a little more. If you have the time to do it, it might be useful the check out that Rate Your Videos and Equipment(you can get there by going to the health and fitness listing for message boards). They do have seperate sections for rating cardio and toning videos...but there are also a lot of comments interspersed with the general discussions which is the top section. I did see comments about which videos were too simple, too boring, too hard, not a very good workout as well as critiques on which might be better or not good for beginners. I did see a lot of positive comments on the message board about the Leslie Sansone tapes and that kathy smith weights training one(i did also see some negative comments about OTHER weight training ones, but was seeing so many names and types of videos..it was easier to pay attention to what they said was good.
If you are used to doing a lot of walking, you might want to start with one of Sansone's longer(?) tapes. I know for sure she has had 1,2,3 and 4 mile workout ones. She also has one that adds using the stretchie bands, another uses a belt thing that has a way to work the arms out also, and some also apparently can use weights with them.
Just wanted to comment on the Tropicana apple drinks. They're *not* juice, but flavored drinks instead,
