flavors of diet V8 Splash there are besides tropical and berry blend? I have tried both, but thought that there was actually another flavor that I had not tried, but just did not find it at Walmart. I ended up buying the berry blend that my 3 year and I love so very much. I also got me some of that great Gerber baby juice since I happen to have a couple of $1 off coupons for them and at only .98 for a 4 pack why not at that great price. LOL I have found these to help me out when I am having a hypoglycemic reaction and cannot get something to eat right away with having to also take care of my two little ones and with 14 grams of carb I could not pass up on it. I think the taste of the Gerber juice is so much better and no so much sugar in it at all.

I very much appreciate any help you can offer me with the V8 Splash question, because I really would like to find another flavor for us to try out. I sure hope you had a great weekend. Take care and do have a wonderful day!

Just wanted to say the first time I got sick in December and actually before that when a couple times my body hinted at getting a cold which went away before being much more than a hint......I did pick up a bunch of the gerber 4 oz orange juice. Up to that point I was afraid of getting any OJ. IN the past when I got even a hint of a bug...I would get a bottle of OJ, and drink big glasses of it. That was before I was told i was diabetic. Then when I got sick in DEcember I figured the 13 carbs(i think that is what the gerber 4 oz OJ is) was not going to be enough to cause a problem as long as i was staying in my guidelines for the number of carbs exchanges I could have. Will also confess I did leave a couple in my van by mistake and the one day at work, i was desperate and it wasnt thought quite quick enough.....discoved if i had it on a stick and a way to pull out of the bottle it would have made a really GOOD frozen fruit treat. So I waited till it was sorta slushy and managed to get it out of the bottle!!!Will also say the MInute Maid Juice cartons are more than 4 oz, they are 6.75 oz and do have 23 carbs in them and 20 grams of sugar. I have used those on occasion as my "snack" between meals...and to be honest on the weekends and when i was literally in bed sick.... and not eating much at all, i would have a carton of that. BUT this was the OJ not the orange drink!!! The minute maid stuff also is calcium enriched. Either is still lots better than most of the small Orange juice bottles out there. They seem to range from 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz and even 16 ounces. I wont buy the larger bottles of OJ because I really am not that confident i won't drink more than I should.

Hi Kathi, so sorry to hear about your not sleeping so well with your blood sugars not doing so good. Believe me I know how that goes all to well especially how it makes you feel, horrible, groggy, and hot just to mention a few of the wonderfully no fun feelings. Just try to get your number down the best you can, because once you do that your in the clear of feeling so wonderul, but will still be a little tired from the blood sugar rollercoaster ride at least in my experience that is usual for me.

Don't worry about not writing down the Diet V8 Splash juice flavors, because I will some day get back to the store to check to see what all they have and if I don't care for what that particular store offers I can always go to another or call around to see what I find. LOL Nothing like going on a hunt for something you so very much want. hehehe I like how the workers think it is such a hassle to look things like that up for customers, because it is their job to keep us the customers happy so that we patronise the place frequently.

Boy, you sure live in the hot climate that is for sure. I would not be able to handle that heat at all even with my drinking 156 ounces plus depending on how I feel. I can only say that you must have a better tolerance than myself for heat, because I would be passed out all the time from it. I'll bet that your meter company will be e-mail you telling you that it is not a good idea to keep your meter in the car with temperatures reaching that high, because of course that is just the outside temperature and not he temperature inside your car. As you know inside the car does tend to be a lot hotter than outside. How ever it still makes me curious to hear what they say about it anyways. LOL I like to know these things, because a reputable company will let you know what is good and not.

The cats sound great to me, because my old terrier mix use to wake me up when he sensed I was having a problem and he was usually right. If I would be low when he would wake me up than he would go get my boyfriend, husband now to help me out. He always just knew when I had a problem and when I was sick from a cold he would just lay with me the entire time until I would get better. Pets have this sixth sense about things, so next time your cat wakes you up try checking your blood sugar to see what it looks like this way you know if your cats are detecting something is wrong with you. I think they also do it to make sure you are still able to wake up, because who else is going to give them their food and water. LOL

Take care of yourself and see what

Thank you Angie for letting us know about the tropicana apple drink, because I so prefer my drinks if juice flavor to taste more like real juice and contain more real juice. It sounds like that one is made out of some kind of flavor added stuff with even more sugar. Yuck! Glad to hear about the new "Walk Away The Pounds" 4 mild DVD, but I am still working on getting me the DVD with strechie with the 1, 2, and 3 mile work out. I'll will let you know if I get it or not. Oh, can you also tell me if I would find that in the sport section or with all the DVD's? I went to Walmart on Monday all by myself for once (Yay), but did not find the DVD at all in the DVD section. How ever I did find 2 of Denise Austin's work out DVD's. I may have to when I can afford it purchase it online since I have not seen it at 2 of the 3 Wal-Marts here. Hope all is going great with you!

Oh, can you also tell me what size jump O rings or split O rings you used for your mother's bracelet? I am wanting to find me some to use with 6mm to 8mm beads, becuase I am wanting to get my medical bracelet started right away for the next time Clint lets me go out alone. hehehe I have some ideas now to start out with, but I plan to make me a few different bracelets that I can swap around with. Take care and have a great day!

Kathi, sounds like a great way to celebrate your birthday with a friend. I can no longer do that with my only frined having passed away last June, so treasure the times you have with your friends since we never know how long they are going to be around or us. Glad to hear that I did not miss wishing you a happy birthday, because I would have felt so bad about that. So now i know I have another 3 days to go by the time you get this post. hehehe I'll come up with something for you by e-mail, so don't you worry.

Oh, also wanted to let you know that my husband's birthday is also this month on the 24th to be exact. So I have to come up with something great for him that doesn't cost anything with him no longer having a job since being layed off last week. I think I can come up with something he will enjoy though, because I have been working on it and have some great ideas. hehehe I'll be sure to let you know how it goes though, because you never know what could happen in that amount of days.

So you take care of yourself. I am glad to hear that you at least got some cards, because that always helps to make a person feel good. Your ex-h can't be all that bad if he still sends you a card, because most don't even bother with it at all, so he must be thoughtful at least. Do let us know how your doing and have a great day!

Thanks for the good wishes and great info. You and Mary Frances sure do keep me more on a somewhat brighter path.

Still am having trouble with the diagnosis. Will see the PA and the endocrinologist on the 16th. Am so afraid that they'll put me on insulin. Since neither of them responded very well in January when I became upset over the dx, am a bit anxious about going to see them.

Had approx 1/2 (maybe less) an antipasto salad with lemon chicken on top of it. A man was having one, and it looked so good. He said it was "low carb"...I knew that. It looked a lot smaller on his table than when mine was delivered to me! I probably brought enough back for lunch and dinner tomorrow (today). Sure did taste good while I began one of my newest books-- 3RD DEGREE by James Patterson. My BS was 122 after 2 hours. So, couldn't have been too bad.

Got talked into a workshop on intimacy Friday. Hope I'll be able to register tomorrow.

It's $45 for 4 ceu's so that's great!

Don't think I'll be joining Nan on my birthday. She sees clients from 7AM until 4PM w/o breaks. I sure don't want her to be bushed before we go to the movie and dinner. So, guess it'll be the 19th. I was wrong...she celebrates her birthday all month! She hurt herself playing racketball two weeks ago, so the yearly ski trip is cancelled. Wish I had as many friends as she does to spend time with me to celebrate my birthday.

My x-h is a good guy and works very, very hard. If he hadn't cheated and lied to me, we'd still be married. He truly was the only person I've ever trusted. So, the affair really hit me hard. We still love each other...that's the reason for the cards, I'm sure.

Well, once again...diarrhea of the mouth!

:-)
