and download it to your computer? If so can you please share with us what you use to do so and if known what you paid for it or if you take the information off of your meter to put onto your computer tell us about that as well with what you use to put the information onto such as format. Just curious is all about others feedback on this, if liked or not, and how long it takes as well. I appreciate any help you can offer here with this question. Take care and have a glorious day!

Denise -

I have an accu-check advantage which I download to my pc. I know some have said the accu-check advantage is not the fastest meter but it is my first so I don't know what I am missing I guess. I like it and I LOVE that I can download it to my PC - print out reports and bring them to my doctor. The software cost me $30 at www.drugstore.com and is very easy to install and use. I never read the manual just kind of figured it out by playing around. It let you decide the date range for the reports from 1 week to 6 months (I think). You can do a pie chart report that shows you % in range, % over and % under. Under the personal options you can set you own target ranges - what is too high and too low for you based on your docs recommendations.

Aside from the pie chart it also does weekly and daily trend charts for whatever time period you set.

I have a One Touch Ultra. I got the software as a free download from the company's website (www.lifescan.com) and purchased a cable to plug my monitor into my computer. The cable was about $20 + shipping, if I remember right. However I haven't used it much. I'm particularly frustrated by the fact that you have to download the meter readings into the software, instead of also having the option to enter them manually. Also, because of the way my computer is configured, I have to unplug the meter cable to plug in my digital camera. I wind up plugging in the camera far more often than the meter.

Thank you so much Michelle for sharing that information with me. It sounds so great to me. I will have to check to see what it will cost me for the program for my Accu Chek Complete, so that way I can begin to save up for the program. I really want to get myself one, because it is so much easier than having to go through my numbers and log them in a book to show the doctor and besides it will also show me if I am doing good or need to make some adjustments in the amount of insulin I am using. This just proves that technology is growing so quickly in the diabetic world and who knows what they will come up with next. You have been so helpful to me and I very much appreciate it, because who esle to get the best information from than another diabetic who uses the product one is wanting to get. Take care of yourself and do have a fabulous day!

Hi...if you have a Roche meter (ACCU-CHEK), call 1-800-858-8072 and talk to a client service rep about the software for their products. Have your meter handy, as the rep will want your meter serial number. I don't know about cost, sorry.

In fact, anytime you have a meter, strip or lancet device question, call the manufacturer. If they don't have a service program, switch to another brand as soon as possible!
