How do you stay motivated when testing your BS? I know it only takes less than a minute and it doesn't hurt. But I just have the hardest time sticking to testing. You'd think that after 13 years (I got it when I was 8) I'd be the greatest tester in the world. It's funny because my HbA1c is always good...around 6. Sometimes I can test great for 4 weeks (At the most) then I take a vacation for a while :"} a long while...testing every now and then. Let me know what keeps you on track.

Well, I can honestly say I was a lot like you when I was younger with my being diagnosed at age 6 and now going on close to 29 years for me. I thought I was indestructable for some reason and did not test hardly at all. As I got older I knew I had to test if I wanted to be around for a long time and by my doing so would make me stay as healthy as I possible could. I also found that I had changed my mind about having children, which after seeing a few doctors they all told me the same thing that if I wanted to have children I must test my blood sugar at least 4 times a day and when I became pregnant they said 6 times a day. So that is what kept me motivated at that time and it continued until I got married and we decided to have children. Now I am back to wanting another child, but in order for me to have a healthy child I must check multiple times a day, so why not just start now so that way my doctor and myself can make sure my insulin is set at a good level for me to have a healthy child if and when I do conceive. So that is what keeps me motivated. Just know that for everybody the reasoning is going to be different and all in all the reasons will be for a good one. So look deep down inside yourself to find your reasons to check your blood sugars, because I know you will find it or them. Let us know if you find yours. Take care and do have a wonderful day!
