Arrghh! I guess even though I did not have any BS problems while I was on vacation, the problems are hitting me now that I have returned home. Yesterday morning while in my morning class I got a horrible headache!! I had left my monitor at home so I couldn't check my BS levels. When on to lunch and had a fairly light lunch. Sandwich with only 1 slice of pumpernickle bread and my meat, a little cheese, lettuce, pickles and mustard, and a side of fresh veggies. After lunch I relaxed a little whiched helped the headache, but then the next class I had the rooms air conditioning was broke and the heat made me feel worse. Came home and took a nap before dinner. SO cooked and eating helped my headache, and after dinner my BS was only 90, but I still had a horrible headache. Went to bed earlier and woke up today with a headache again. Went to the office for a while until I couldn't take the headache and came home for lunch. I have a midterm tomorrow so I have spent the day trying to study, but ended up sleeping for a few hours and I have been incredibly thirsty since I woke up! Argh!! As soon as I drink a glass of water I am getting another one! Argh!! Sorry to take up so much space, but just needed to vent!!

Tara ~

Sorry you're bummed and that the headache persisted.

Hope the midterm went well for you.

We each have bad and good days...you can vent when you need to do so!

Tara,

I am sorry your headache didn't get better with eating as that usually helps. I hope your midterm went okay. It is hard when you have headache to take a test.

Good Luck and let us know how you did,

Mary Frances

Thanks Mary Frances and Kathi for your support! I think I did okay on my midterm, we shall see in a week or so when they are graded. I still have the headache though and its frustrating. I've tried all I can to get rid of it, even my migraine meds are not working. :( I think I need a nap!

For a headache, try taking 250 mg of magnesium.

So sorry to hear about your headache Tara especially that it would not go away even after eating. I find that some times weather causes me to have a headache such as rain does that to me up until it begins to rain than my headache goes away, but also thunder and lightening that has not yet arrived causes me to have bad headaches as well. I use some tylenol to help with mine, which I carry a container of some just in case especially when you never know when a headache might come on with no warning. So maybe try carrying some tylenol with you to take if you have more headaches, because it dose not hurt at all to use it and works pretty good at times for me.

I really do hope you did well with your mid term, because I know you tried your best to study to be prepared for it even with a nasty headache. Wishing you truck loads of "excellent grade" on your mid term. Take care of yourself and have a terrific day!

Tara~

My pleasure to give support. What is given, comes back as well.

Be careful about taking Tylenol. It affects the liver in an adverse way if

too much is taken. I saw a 16yr old in the ER that tried to overdose on a Monday with a bottle of Tylenol. I saw her in the ER on Thursday. She hadn't told her mother about the pills until that morning. (I was really, really ticked at the mom...she was so busy with her new boyfriend that she didn't question the girl when she said she had the flu).

Anyway, her breathing became really shallow, I called for the doctor, and she was

air-evaced to a higher level hospital. She was sure lucky that I noticed her breathing.

Sorry about the long story.

Let me know how the midterm went. I sure remember hating to take them. I usually had a headache whenever I had a major test - test anxiety, I gather.
