food suggestions PLEASE

I am a hungry type 2 diabetic and getting frouchy about it. If I eat one more salad or omlet I am going to scream. I have met with my dietician and I have all the suggestiosn from them but honestly I don't like her very much. I ams ticking with her until I get a prepregnancy dietician this summer via my OB.

What can I grab for when I am hungry and what I really want is something to fill the pit in my stomach. Apples work but I mean more comfy food type stuff. Sorry I know this is a vague request but I am losing weight (no complaining) because so many times I just give up because I am sick of salad, veggies, fruit and I really want something more so I do not eat at all. This is all fine and good for another 5 pounds but once I hit 125 I do not want to go lower.

I am so sad over this today so I apologize if I am not sounding proactive. So snacks/ quick meals in a pinch...what do you suggest.

How about a rice cake or two? I know that they are low in carbs and not so high in fat content. They really do have some new great flavors available these days. I like the Quaker

Denise thanks for the rice cake suggestion. I had forgetton about them. I guess I just assumed they would be too high in carbs but you are right they are not too bad. ;) I will let you know if it makes me a little less 'grumbly' hee hee!

Boy, I sure understand. I've had the munchies for about 3 days now. Can't seem to find anything that will satisfy me.

I'll try the rice cakes also.
