I have spelnda i got it for my husband who is a diabetic, thats how come i had the machine so i could get my sugar levels. No i have never been diagnosed with Hypogloxcemia, i have been thinking the last couple of months that maybe my sugar was low. Some times when i wake up im very shakey in the hand to where my fingers and hands are moving.I normally eat something with sugar and after a while it will stop.I used to drink a lot os soda maybe 6 to 8 cans of reg coke a day.A couple of months ago i switched to diet only but i was still having problems before that.Yesterday i was talking with a friend she asked my what i did over the weekend and for the life of me i could not remember, she asked is there something wrong with your memory. Also the other day while i was talking to my husband i was seeing little stars right before my eyes, but i did not fill light headed at that time. Its staying in the med 70's so far today is that still bad.
hun, that is NOT good. Do not eat anything with sugar when you wake up. eat some biscutes or cerel with some fruit. You have to gradually "eat you're way up the ladder" lol seriously 70 is still to low. you're levels are suppose to be 80-120. waking up shaky is not a good sign. Do you test right when you get up? OK Start in the morning and test. then EAT as soon as you test.
This is very confusing I always thought with hypoglycemia you can to have sugar. I thought as your sugar drops you need to eat to bring it back up. I could not understand why it was low after the candy I was eating. If i get reading's in the low 100's does that mean im o.k, if im hypo it should be low all the time correct?

In a since you can. BUT listen you got to get you're SYSTEM back on course. It is wacked right now. So you got to eat small meals and snacks in between.

Because when you eat sugar it brings you're level up (fast) then drops (fast) and thus meaning to BOTTOM out. Low readings. You heard that saying "sugar rush"
Donna thank you for all that great info in fact thanks you to all the ladies who answered back. I have had Very bad headaches for months and at times im very hyper or very tired also very irritable there never seems to be a in-between’s .I do not have insurance at this time and I know if I call to speak to my doctor he is going to tell me to come in. I may go in and see him on Friday. Do people normally drop that low for no reason, 61 after spaghetti seams strange but I guess the Sauce must have a lot of sugar correct. Donna I was doing the same thing it was low so I kept eating something with sugar to bring it back up but could not understand why it was not working. My main thing is how do I know im a hyperglycemic for sure? If im not should my levels have gone up and stayed there. I did it a little while ago (1 hr before i eat) and it was 107 the highest it’s been in 24hrs and than im going to do it again 2 hours after i eat. I’m going to have home made beef taco's so im not sure about the sugar in that. It’s just so confusing because it’s been in the 60's and 70's last time and all day up until a little while ago. What test will my doctor have to do, I would think the same they did for my husband when they found out he was a diabetic. They did a test to see what his levels have been for the past 60 days. Poor guy his in the 250 range!
i just re tested about a hour after dinner.I noticed i got light headed and stated the hand shake a little, legs alo felt like jello so i had to sit down my sugar level dropped to 52
Julie, Whether you have insurance or not, please see you doctor as soon as possible. Something is going on and you need to be treated. You can't afford not to have this checked out. Then please come back to us and let know what the doctor tells you.
I’m going to call my doctor today and see what he says. I was going to go into the emergency last night, I called but they were no help at all. I just knew it last night that it had gone low, I was feeling really bad. Donna something you said really triggered something in me, a couple of times the last year I have been walking or doing something and have felt like im going to pass out, very light headed and my heart speed's up I thought it was the weather (living in sunny California) That was very surprising last night to see 52 about a hour after dinner so I do know there is something wrong. My mom works for a doctor and believe it or not she said to my mom that’s normal!!! What kind of doctor is she I even know there is something wrong.Im going to call when they open in about 2 hours I will let you know what they say.
