Julie,

Do not fool around with this. Go Immediately to the emergency room via the the paramedics and an ambulance.

Don't ask if you should get medical help. Get it and then tell us about it.

I am serious. This is not something to fool around with.

It's almost 12 hours since your message. Hopefully, you've gotten medical attention by now! Hope you're ok.

Can't imagine why she didn't dial 911 instead of her mother! Just wan't thinking straight. I just saw her message about 5 minutes ago when I signed in. You gave good advice. The others were trying to keep track of her.

I told her the first time she posted if her sugar got that low to call 911! I'm about 1/2 way the messages. Just wanted to give you an "Atta girl".

Julie~

Don't be so sure about not being diabetic! What you've been saying sounds so much like dangerously low insulin to the point that I would be hospitalized if I was that low.

Heck, I get scared if I'm between 70-80!

Get with the program, punkin', and get some medical attention!

You were trying to help her...she should have been calling 911 regardless of hypoglycemia or diabetes. Numbers were way too low. At least you calmed her down somewhat. EAT when sugars are low, but a glass of OJ with some sugar is first for diabetic who is low. Still with hypoglycemia a bit of juice, rest, solid food like a sandwich, then small meals x6.

You were scared. I'm glad you were on-line since it didn't look like many others were.

If this ever happens again, have the person call 911, ok?

:-) you did good

Ok...bossy me...

Make a list of your own questions for your doctor, and make sure you get answers!

Add these maybe...

(1) what signals should alert you that you're heading for trouble

(2) If you are hypoglycemic, get a meal plan from his office.

(3) I'd sure want to have labs done, particularly an A1c to see what your

glycemic levels average for the last 3 months.

(4) Ask him why it took so long for him to call you back?

(5) If this happens again, should you just go to the ER? (They'll reach him

post-haste...of course, he may not call them back right away either. At least

you'd be under observation of an ER doc and medical staff.)

By the way, hypoglycemics go into shock or possibly a coma, too. Please be careful!

Your condition sure scared me the first time you posted. I'm surprised that you

let it go this far. :-)

Having never been pregnant, don't know what it's like to be diabetic & pregnant. Did you have gestational diabetes? Is that when you discovered the hypoglycemia?

Good thing the baby wasn't with you. Did you take the baby to grandma's because you didn't feel well? Did your husband drop the baby off there? I'm confused. Why didn't he take you for medical care at that time?

I told her this when she did the thread about 61 bs on the 30th! I just don't understand with all the people telling her to go to the ER what was keeping her on-line! I came on-line tonight just around 10PM and still was advising her to get medical treatment. He husband came home, but still no self-care.
