Hi all. Okay, so I am stressing out because my BS levels are not remaining as stable as they should be. :( My levels don't go all that high, but they do frequently go high and then rapidly drop and then spike back up and that tends to make me sick. Is it normal for me to feel very sick to my stomach right after eating and then get severe migraines?! I also tend to become very "itchy." My legs and my scalp itch a lot. This was happening to me before I was put on the meds and that was during the time the docs would not test me so I just assumed it was from the BS levels because when I started the meds it stopped and now it seems the meds just are not helping as much, so is this normal reactions to flucuating BS levels?! I know every one is different, but do any of you all experience these symptoms?
Like, yesterday afternoon I had a terrible migraine and took some Tylenol PM to help me sleep. I woke up quite a few time to go to the restroom. This morning, I still had the migraine. Felt horrible. I was not really hungry, but drank a cup of tea and had some toast and a thing of carb control yougurt. It was all I could stomach I went to my morning classes because I had a test, but by noon I could not take it any more! Between the migraine and my scalp and legs itching, I decided to come home. I fell asleep until about 4ish and the migraine was not so bad. After eating dinner, it started to come back again. Played badmiton, but every time I would bend over to pick up the birdie I felt like the floor was coming up after me. Ugh!
Thanks everyone!!

Tara,
Test your blood sugar when you have one of these terrible headaches. You really need to know what your blood sugar is doing. That being said, you usually get a terrible headache when your blood sugar is low and it is relieved by eating. Is it possible that you are not having migraines but a different kind of headache? Now that you have your blood sugar under better control, what is your phsyician saying about your headaches. I remember that you need to see student health and so you may not have discussed this with them. When are you going to see your physician at your home?
I am sorry I can't be more helpful and I certainly hope you are feeling better by now.

The last time I saw my physician at home, he was still thinking the headaches were being caused by my sugar levels.
