A friend told me about the Blue Bunny Health Smart Ice cream bars. I just had a chocolate fudge and Vanilla flavored ice cream bar. It has no added sugar/ says it is fat free/ and is sweetened with Splenda (added sugar??? :) However, one ice cream bar is one ADA starch exchange. If you count carbs it is one exchange, or 14 gr. of carbs and with 4 grams of sugar and 3 grams of sorbitol. It says it is 0 grams of fat and 0 mg of cholesterol and has 60 calories. I thought I would share this information b/c it is pretty tasty, compared to other low calorie ice cream treats I have tried. I definately will have more! Michele H.

Guess you missed the conversation about Albertson's discontinuing Blue Bunny Ice Cream bars that I had a week or so ago. Yep, I like them. In fact, since they were on sale, bought a bunch. Had an orange & vanilla one after dinner tonight. YUM!!!

Keep an eye out for Edy's too. I've had their fudge swirl, neapolitan, and mint chocolate chip No Sugar Added ice cream. Fabulous!

Thx for the info. We only have regular Walmarts (no groceries, maybe snacks though) and then Super Walmarts that have lots of groceries as well as the typical Walmart things.

Michele~

I think I might have been discussing Albertson's and Blue Bunny novelty items. Not sure...anyway...what a deal I got!

The dairy stocker had told me that they were going to discontinue Blue Bunny because they wouldn't ever put their stuff on sale. A couple of days after that I went for cottage cheese and noticed all the Blue Bunny bars were on sale. What a deal!!! My freezer was packed...now isn't though. (hee hee)

Well, today I went for catfood, and the Blue Bunny bars are back at the regular price, and they're stocked to the ends of the shelves! He was there, we laughed, and he told me that they were pulling the 1/2 gallons as they just didn't sell well. He said the day after I'd been there they had a meeting with the Blue Bunny salesman who said they weren't going to d/c the novelties. The stocker said he thought of me right away because of our conversation the night before the meeting. I told him that I got in on the "sale" that wasn't supposed to have happened.

Think I mentioned the Carb Smart (think that's Breyers)...anyway, they're continuing that and adding several new flavors.

Albertson's has added several new types of the bars. I still like Carb Freedom Fudge Bar (although I'm not a chocolate fan). They're really creamy. They're back to $3.99 now, though. The Carb Freedom Almond isn't all that great. Has 160 calories and 120 of that is fat.

Breyer's has some new novelty bars that are between 11-14 carbs. Bought some but haven't tried any yet.

Oh, the Blue Bunny yoghurt is back and he said they were adding flavors to that line as well. Yipee! Says he can't keep them stocked full. They're 79 cents and probably won't go on sale either, he said. He chuckled, and said "'just check back every day or so...

you never can tell what will happen"'.

I'm going to write a customer comment about that guy. He sure has been helpful on several occasions. I asked to talk to a manager and he gave me a card to fill out and mail. The stocker wants a promotion. Maybe my comments might help. Anyway, I believe in telling people when they do a good job. Too often, no one hears the good stuff...only the complaints!
