Tricked by a bar of soap?

I have developed an interesting theory about what has been happening with my glucose readings, and my test this morning suggests I'm right....
It occurred to me last night that I've been washing my hands with the bar soap on my sink. It's a 'homemade' type of soap.....with oatmeal. It caught my attention....is residue from the soap interfering with my readings?
So, this morning, I used the softsoap to wash my hands and take a test--84. then I washed my hands with the oatmeal soap, rinsed well and towel-dried my hands, and took another one--107. The reading was 23 points higher after using the oatmeal soap!!! (I could still smell the oatmeal soap on my hands three hours after I got to work)
I'm going to track my sugars for a couple more days, but I have a feeling I was getting false readings!

WOW!!!
