You just answered a very important question for me and don't even know it! LOL
I was reading your response on another post and BINGO...there it was. Keep in mind I do not trust my dr and wouldn't be the least bit surprised if another dr interpreted my results differently. The lab just sends numbers..it's based on your dr knowledge weather or not you get the right diagnoses. So this is what you said:

Everyone's blood sugar goes up 1 hour after eating and normal people's blood sugar returns to a normal level two hours after eating. Diabetics aren't normal and so it usally takes 3 hours for their's to return to normal.
This is what my dr said:
Your test shows the highest level was at 2 hrs..then at the 3 hrs mark it started to come down. At the 4 hr mark the level was below the fasting level.
Now, I saw the numbers to be sure cause I don't trust him. Remember I said I looked at them myself and this ticked him off. He closed the file. And yes, my numbers started at 88.. up to 145 at 2 hrs...at 134 at 3 hrs and at 4 hrs 79.
I don't trust him.

I don't know why some doctors do that. It is after all your body that they are doing test on and you in one way or another have to pay for the test. My doctor sends me a paper with the results on it and I keep these papers. I think it is important to tell you exactly what the results are
Of course, my PCP is a computer geek, and each of the docs in their practice has a roll-around computer. They do their updates right while you're in the room, and then print a copy of it for you to take home. At least my PCP prints out stuff for me. The prescriptions are written off of the computer, too. I think it's nice. I get kind of flustered sometimes and it's nice to look back at what we discussed.
Not everything in life is as we'd like it, unfortunately. You'd think that with the most important thing, your health, you'd get a straight story from the docs!
I'm still trying to figure out a gyn problem. Don't know that I can trust my gyn (she dropped ob in January). I knew I was having yeast infections for almost a year. She should have caught a clue that I might be diabetic. Oh well, they're human, too. It is my life, though.
