hypoglycemic reaction? What do you drink or eat to treat it right away? Do you carry anything on you in case you have a hypoglycemic reaction while out of the house?

i use the Dex 4 glucose tabets there raspberry and taste really good.I normally take 1 and within a couple of mins its back up.Just be carefull it does no raise it to high, that has only happened once to me so far.Im really happy with them and carry them every place i go, its like a credit card "dont leave home ith it" ha-ha i hope this helps.Ohhhh also right after if im able to get to peanuts i will eat some, i go to costco and get he smaller bags in bulk and have them all over the house and in each car.I get the tablets from walmart andthere like $1.35 for 10 well worth it, when i go next in going to get more so i can have them in both cars as well as my bag.I want to make sure if i ever need them there at hand.

Glucose tablets in my purse for when I'm out and about. When at home...cookies or fruit. It depnds on how sick I feel. Of course, I always over do it and end up with a really high number. It's funny how much you panic when it happens..everytime for me is like the first.

Hi...I am new to this board.

I keep pumpkin seeds and almonds with me at all times. I try to nibble on them even when I don't necessarily feel hungry to keep my blood sugar level.

I also have a powder protein drink that I keep to mix with water or even a diet Sprite. It takes care of that shaky feeling fairly quickly.

I love the protein bars, but, the ones I were eating had the sugar alcohols/subs

and too much of that additive gives me a headache.

I also try to drink lots of water. Hydration seems to help my levels.

Thanks for the welcome.

It is a "Keto" powerded shake. Comes in a variety of flavors. I buy them in the local health food store. No sugar, no carbs, and approximately 23 grams of protein.

I find myself snacking on seeds and nuts all the time. I am beginning to feel

part squirrel!

Keto--I'll look for it at our one and only health food store (small town).

Oh yes...a bit overwhelming is an understatement!

I do love nut butters. But, they love my hips, so, I try not to overindulge.

It is hard when I find something I love to eat not to over do it.

I try to remind myself, of balance....sometimes I even listen to myself!

Haha!
