I am not a doctor but I would gatehr to say that some of what you are experiencing may be realted to diabetes but also may be related to stress. It is intertesting that you say that anything uner 90 causes symptoms of hyoglycemia for you. Have you talked to your doc about this?

When you say your eyes have been flickering do you mean your eyelid or your eye. Sometimes this happens to me when I am stressed.

How long have you had diabetes (sorry if I missed this in an earlier post) are you type I or tyoe II?

Honestly I would say that with the quetions you have it would be worth a call to your doctor. You might not even need to go in but can ask the questions over the phone. Sorry I do not have more concrete answers but I always err on the side of caution with a call to my doctor.

Good luck, keep us posted and I hope your son feels better.
