One of the children who will be coming to my son's birthday party is diabetic.  What type of drinks could I serve at the party?  I was going to do a koolade drink added to ginger-ale, but then I thought about it & she likely won't be able to have it.  I'd prefer not to have to single her out & give her something different than the rest of the kids are having.

Also, where could I find sugar-free candies?  I'm also going to do a pinata, I'm planning to put some small toys in it, but wanted to add sugar-free candy and regular candy in it as well.

I would serve sugar free KoolAid to all of them, then you don't have to worry about the child getting something she can't have.

I have seen sugar free and low carb candies in the grocery store.

Hi Leanne! You could use sugar free Kool-Aid with diet ginger ale to make your punch. Sugar free candies are everywhere now. Hershey's, Life Saver's, Russell Stover are a few names you can easily find in grocery store candy aisles. They also make sugar free Reeses Peanut butter cups now. There are other brands of sugar free hard candies that you could find too. They're usually with the regular candy, but sometimes they're separated into the "special foods" section of the store.
