Well i went to the doctor yesterday for my hypoglycemia and after fasting he said my levels are low.So at last he ordered test and is sending me to a Endocrinologist ?

I'm not sure what the test are but im having done Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid Profile, Hemoglobin A1C and Thyroid Panel With TSH, Amylase. He said i should have the rsults in a week.He was asking is when i crash i have pain in my belly i dont understand why?.

Thought i would just check in as it has been a couple of weeks. Also i have had some crashes while im out and have been unable to drive also the glucose tabs are not working as quick as they used to so thats why the doctr wants to run these test.

I am happy to hear that you saw your doctor and that he is running some tests for you. Now I am not no medical professional, but I have had some of the tests done myself so I will try to explain them to you. Comprehensive Metabolic Panel is to see how quickly you digest food to see if that might a problem with metabolising food on the fast side. Hemoglobin A1C is used to see how your blood sugar has been for the past 3 months with giving an average blood sugar level for the last 3 months, which also allows them to see if there is a problem with either diabetes or hypoglycemia. Thyroid Panel With TSH is used to determine if there is a thyroid problem or not with your thyroid, which if there is it can cause all kinds of problems with weight and other things as well.

Those are the ones I know about, but I am sure Mary Frances will be able to help you out much better than myself. I hope you get some answers from the tests to help determine what is going on. As for the glucose tablets I have the same problem and tend to have to use like 3 of them to raise my blood sugar good enough, which even checking later on my blood sugar is just in the normal zone instead of being on the high side like most diabetics experience. Maybe try something different like a good nutritious bar that you can pack with you. There has to be something that will work better for you, but your the only one who will be able to find it though. Take care and have a wonderful day!

Thanks for answering about the test.i was carrying a low card bar with me just in case but being in sunny California it turns to mush very quick.Im thinking maybe it the different brand of glucose tabs and that why some work quick. The first lot i got was from Walmart and i only needed one and it would bring it up on the high side. With the ones i have now i need 3 and than the levels stay in the low normal range.i was surprised that yesterday i had a 186 why i dont know but i did not crash after so i was very happy about that.i cant wait to get the test result back so i can finally get some answers.
