It has nothing to do with pain. Moaning happens due to being unable to speack when you have a hypoglycemic reaction while a hyerglycemic reaction you tend to be heading to a deep sleep state. Hope that helps answer this for you. Do take care and have a great day!

I would not think there is pain, well as yet i have not had any pain with a hypo crash. At times my heart rate speeds up so quick that i fil like im going to pass out at that point i cannot talk.i fill like if i talk i will loose it so i sometimes moan. But not out of pain i think its because your in a state that you have no control over.I also get very tired and have a hard time staying awake so that could be it also.

I forgot to also include that I have fallen over with hypoglyemic reaction and bruised my head pretty bad, but not with hyperglycemic reaction in which I generally go to bed and just do not wake up due to being in a coma from such high blood sugar. So honestly I really do think it has to do with not being able to speak even though I find my mind is clear only no words will come out of my mouth so instead I moan to get my husbands attention or at least that is what we believe. Take care and do have a pleasant weekend!

There's a difference between moaning in pain, and moaning like Denise is talking about.

Gabby,

I so agree with you. It also saddens me. If the people who heard her moaning had only notified the landlady or emergency services the outcome might have been so different. As I said to her in another posting, if something like this happened to my sister
