What's the deal with them?
Carbs are 21G but then it says Fiber <1g, Sugars 0g, and Sugar Alcohol 5g. So where can the other 15g be????
I'm becoming very skeptical when label reading these "sugar free" items that are processed and packaged. How can 15g of sugar disappear? LOL.
AND to make matters worse, these dumb cookies skyrocketed my bsl... so I KNOW there's more sugar than 0g.

What we have to remember is that there are more to Carbs than sugar and fiber it is just that manufacturers only have to break out these portions of the carbs. I suspect that at least some of the rest of the carbs in the cookies come from flour.
Best to just keep checking BSLs to figure out what works for each of us. And be sure to take the total number of carbs into consideration rather than just the sugar carbs.
Good luck!

Just remember that we all react differently to foods such as some can eat them and not have a blood sugar spike while others do have a spike. You just have to find something that does not cause your blood sugar to rise, but you are the only one who can figure that out for yourself. Also I know that things that are sugar free tend to have more carbs and for me do cause my blood sugar to go up, but if I eat a regular cookie it only cause a very slight rise right away and later on it is back to normal. So in my opinion they might be sugar free they sure do not act like it at all at least in my honest opinion. Besides the regular ones taste better and do not cause the spike later on like the sugar free ones do. Maybe try an experiment to see what happens when you eat a regular cookie with as close the same amount of carbs as the sugar free, but remember to eat the amount given for a serving size. On the next day try the sugar free ones to see what happens with your blood sugar, which this will tell you what works better for you.
I have done the above and find that the regular ones due better for me, but do cause a rise very soon after eating it that does slowly come back down to a good range. While the sugar free just seems to keep my blood sugar up for a
It's funny you say that. Yesterday I was in a situation where food was provided for 2 meals and 2 snacks. The lunch and dinner food was perfect but the snacks were total sugar. (Cookies for one and a bowl of candy for the other). I eyed that darn cookie plate for hours. After dinner, since it was high in fat and protein, i ate a cookie. (These were big cookies) I was totally fine.
With those darn snackwells, I had a great dinner and then ate 3 of them and was climbing off the walls about 20 minutes later.
Good grief.
Soooo glad I can still eat a sweet, but I find that I have to do it right after dinner (to slow the sugar release down) or else i feel just awful. (A combination of exhaustion and being wired... it's awful!!)
YAY for cookies!!!!
LOL
