Is there a place on the internet that you can go to to check your carb and
the calories of certain foods?
the calories of certain foods?

Hi,
Yes, there is and I am trying to remember where. There are certain places I would look. One is the American Diabetes web site which has a shopping cart area. Another would be the USDA site.
I bet other members on this board will have suggestions also. So stay tooned! If I can remember the site I am thinking I will also post it.
Of course any good diabetic cookbook has a listing and there are speciality books out there with just listing for unique foods. I would check with my dietitian but she needed to cancel my appointment today because she is ill.

I always go to the source. Like if I wanted info on mcdonalds go to www.mcdonalds.com. Most fast food places are just their name between www and .com
Most of the fast food chains have nutritional information right on their sites. And it is the most accurate.
IF I can't find it there I look to
www.calorieking.com (also ifo on everyday foods and ethnic)
www.healthdiscovery.net
www.3fatchicks.com
www.dietfacts.com
Also if I can't find the info on it I will look for a recipe with the nutritional info that is pretty much the same and use that. www.recipezaar.com is pretty good OR I have found that www.google.com is the best search engine. Just put in what your looking for with recipe after it.
I also look to manufacturers sites for NI. Just put the name of the food in google with nutritional information after it. Usually on the first page will be as link to info on it.
Good luck
