Unhappy with my Dr.!

I am a first timer to, this message board. I need to vent and ask a questiom.
I have to see the Dr.s at, the local military base. I have a new one again! The 3rd., Dr., in 1 1/2 yrs. This one has no bedside manner, what so ever. I just went to my appt., on Monday. I've been having trouble the last yr., keeping my sugars down. They have been adjusting my meds. When he came in the room, he asked me how I was doing, I said not bad, He said, I don't agree with you, your not ok. Then gave me a sheet with my Ha1c results. I've always been able to mantain, around 6.9 or less. The first thing I don't agree with, he said I'd have to realize, one day I WILL be onb insulin. He said everyone will be one day. Then he goes against other standards and, likes to see the A1C, at 5.8 or less. Maybe the only good thing is, he wants to send me to an, endrocro---
(notsure how to spell). I tried to tell him also, I have been under a lot of stress, in the last year. The last 5 months, my husband has been, using my internet for, porn sites. Then found a one time fling from that. Basically the Doctor did'nt consider this anything at all, that would raise my blood sugar.
My question, I'm on Glynase and Avandia. Is there anything out there new I could try, or ask a Dr., about? I've also been on Metforman(?) Glugophage(?) This has upset my stomach, so they switched me to this with Avandia. Couldn't take this either.
Any help on, this long winded letter, would be greatly appreciated.

I agree that you should see an endocrinologist, and maybe take an education class from a CDE (certified diabetes educator).
I hate the idea that you're under the thumb of the military. Unfortunately, unless you get a really dedicated doctor, they're just on their rotation and "could care less" it seems.
Stress sure can make those numbers go haywire! I'm really sorry that your husband was on porn sites and in an affair. It would seem that you live a "tight-wire" life. I'm hoping that you've gotten some sound therapy for the abuses of your daughter and yourself. If you need any references, give a shout.
I'm on Amaryl and Glucophage-XR. Seem to be doing ok. We'll see in Decemer when I go back for my endo visit. Made an appt with my CDE because I'm having problems with "grazing" on Sunday nights. It's the stress, I know. I hate being alone and Sundays have always been difficult for me. I may even audit the classes I took when I was first dx in Jan. 2004.
My hopes for some medical personnel who actually care about you and give you good advice.
(((hugs)))
You have a similar problem to mine.
Please tune in later for a new signature. :)
