Worried about Changing Imsulins

At the moment, I'm on Lantus long acting insulin and I take Humulog with meals as needed. But because these are very expensive, my doctor is going to change my insulins so I don't have to pay so much, since I have no insurance. Anyway, she says I'll have to mix them, and take them with every meal, and one kind twice a day instead of once like with the Lantus.

Does anyone else do this? I am nervous about it, and I want to keep a good hold on my sugars, but can't afford what I'm on right now. So, it's either deal with mixing them or not take them at all.

Anyone have advice?

Misty, I have no experience with any type of insulin so will let people who have respond to that part of your post.
