That's a great idea to have at the ready. For Girl Scouts, I think it is painfully limited. There is the WAGGS, GSUSA, our council site, and our city site. I would LOVE to have a troop site but every time I ask council where I can go, no one ever gets back to me.

Granted there are tons of them for crafts and activities. I use http://troop851.ellenbecker.net/Try%20Its.htm for a lot of badge help because it is really easy to print from.

http://www.epilogsys.com/ScoutingWeb/index.htm is great for finding stuff by level and ideas.

Do you know of any other forums like this to bounce ideas off other leaders? Not that I am looking to leave here, just looking for ideas.

Not really another forum but a website.

I turn to scoutweb a lot. That was the second site I posted.

FWIW, I joined two yahoo groups to see what their forums are like.

I'll keep you posted on how things are out there. I work hard at exposing the girls here to new ideas and experiences. I hate being in the middle of now where when I grew up in such a big city. These girls are just as much of a disadvantage as city kids but on the other side of the spectrum. Their exposure to anything is almost negative.

I have had a few guest speakers come in and I aim for at least one area or council event a month in addition to what I come up with. I am just looking for more ideas, not trying to leave or anything.

Cheers,
Liza

For a new den leader the BSA National web site is the one stop shop for many things. There is training, forms, Program Helps, awards, and even a community forum.
