It's still all about popcorn here.
On Wednesday, the Catholic Juniors are leading part of the Catholic Committee on Scouting- Footsteps of American Saints program. They are focusing on one of the Saints called Kateri Tekakwitha- a native american woman. They will be leading the requirements in stations that the younger girl scouts and cub scouts will go to. Immediately following that, we should have a speaker to explain what the Juniors will be doing for the Festival of Trees (leading a kids craft table- and the event benefits Children and Youth Services each year). On the following Wednesday, we are going over to one of the girl's homes to finish our outdoor cooking badge, do a horse fan badge, finish the requirements for the sign of the sun, and have some fun. That's also the day that nuts/candies are delivered, so we will distribute that day.
For cub scouts, we had our den meeting tonight and worked on the what makes america special to me stuff, made thank you notes for our guest last time, played our second indian game that we didn't have time for at a previous meeting, and talked about wildlife conservation officers, and extinct and endangered animals. Our next gathering is the 17th for the pack meeting- the boys were to draw an animal that they learned about and bring the drawing to display at the pack meeting.
