Holiday Parade idea

My troop was just in a light-up night parade as a holiday train. We got boxes and covered them in white paper. For the wheels we used red paper plates and glued fancy cupcake papers in the center, then used brads to attach them. Then each girl had to take it home and decorate however she wanted. We had some use ornaments, candy canes, teddy bears, starts, plastic poinsettias, star stickers, ribbons... they turned out SO cute. By having the same size boxes (McDonald's french fry cardboard cases) and the same wheels, it made the whole thing work well.

I even had my two boys make a train and add them to the end of the line... that way I didn't lose them to the crowd!

Unfortunately, the parade route was VERY short and the girls felt like the did a lot of work for not much of a show. But I feel like the people who attended the parade liked our group the best.

That sounds like such a cute idea.
