Or are you like Cheryl without internet access? I am getting lonesome around here!! Do you have a trip planned this summer? I like to go away but I haven't figured out where or how to get it into my schedule! So what's happening with you?
WEEEELLLLL!! speaking of vacation and dogs----------- i was theoretically off on vacation from wed night till 1pm today, but had decided to go to office for a little thursday. then got a migraine so didnt make it to office till Friday. then went to sisters on saturday(missing first day of dog show). even worse although i made it to the dog show on sunday, i missed seeing Zena Beana as my sister has taken to calling her. she went reserve to the winning dog(but there were not as many in class as at the speciality. )
Reason i didnt make it in time was combination of sister telling me wrong time, and my getting out of her house late! with shoulder problem, sleeping in her bed is not fun cuz the mattress was so hard. So we tried putting air mattress on top of the already high bed! I told sister as soon as i attempted to sit on it, that it was NOT going to work and that we should take it off. she said no, and I said, well if you hear a crash you better get up here quick! She left early for the show and was not around for the CRASH!! da air mattress did a really good bucking bronco imitation!! thankfully there was not ANY LESS room between the bed and the dressers, etc or i would probably have laid there till she got home sunday afternoon!! it flipped me OUT of the bed, i landed on my right side, and ended up having to pull myself to the end of the bed using bad shoulder, and then further to get where I could use something to help me get OFF the floor! very blessedly other than a few scrapes on the one foot and shoulder being sorer from using it to pull myself around on the floor...there was no real damage. a couple bruise marks, but i know it could have been lots worse. anyway, the rest of weekend was spent mostly resting and recuperating!!
now am back to work. at least i did get a doxie fix, seeing Zena and Zack and also watching Rally at the dog show. For anyone who likes watching dogs, I have to say rally is lots better than obedience!! sort of the same premise but it is NOT the same course every time, so dogs are not likely to get bored. usually there is at least one dog that seems to just get lost in the joy of whatever they are doing! Last year it was the boxer teenager who fell in love with the hurdle and kept going over and back again and and again. this time it was one of the kennel clubs rescue dogs. a dobie, who was rescued as a tiny pup, after breeder discovered a nasty injury and was going to solve the problem by leaving it outside to freeze to death!(breeder was a puppy mill situation i think..certainly NOT a responsible one). anyway the dobie loves doing the course and it was sort of like watching a dog on springs doing the course. he did everything he was supposed to almost all of it immediately, but between that was literally bouncing up and down. lets just say, no one watching could have though he was doing anything other than enjoying himself immensely!!! when he did finish everyone in the audience started clapping. he did not score really high but did do well enough for the run to count toward his championship. and in a twist of irony, the owner of that dog also had one other dog who finished her championship for rally at the show. twist of irony(in my mind at least) is the one is a dobie and the other is a 9 year old min pin!!
anyway, it was really nice to be at the show again, and that club really has a bunch of nice people in it!!
I am so glad that you didn't hurt yourself more seriously. It is always hard sleeping at someone else's house even without your challanges.

Auntydoxzz,
I am so glad that you didn't hurt yourself more seriously. It is always hard sleeping at someone else's house even without your challanges.
