Diabetes?

I am wondering if I may be developing diabetes.
The reasons for this is that I was doing some research on the internet about my profound fatigue and tiredness, especially after eating and it suggested I may be diabetic.
Also, I have some kind of fungal infection "down below" and I read that this could also be caused by diabetes.
For many months now I have felt incredibly tired after eating only small amounts of food and this seems like a very logical explanation as to why. The fungal infection helps convince me even more.
I have made an appointment with my doctor, but this is over a week away. Do my symptoms merit an urgent appointment so I can be checked for diabetes?
I haven't noticed an increase in thirst or urination but I seem to have more of an appetite of late.
Incidently I am overweight, have high blood pressure and am aged 38 years old.
What do people think?
Any advice would be most useful. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the board!!!
Hi and welcome.
I agree with Cheryl. I would suggest that if at all possbile that you not eat before your appointment because that way they can run fasting lab work. You will need a fasting blood sugar test for sure and other tests as well.
I hope you will come back to us and tell us what your doctor thinks is going on. Some of what you are complaining about are symptoms of diabetes.
