Just wondering ... I do hope that I am NOT going to step on any toes with this but I was just wondering what medications that everyone is on or has been on.
With myself ...
When I was first diagnoised back in Febraury 2002 my OB - GYN placed me on:
7 - GLUCOPHAGE XL PILLS DAILY ... broken down that was:
2 - with breakfast
2 - with lunch
2 - with dinner
1 - at bedtime
Then ... she thought that they were not working then she started me on"
2 - GLUCOVANCE ... broken down it was like this:
2 - GLUCOPHAGE XL & 1 - GLUCOVACNE @ breakfast
2 - GLUCOPHAGE X - lunch
2 - GLUCOPHAGE XL & 1 - GLUCOVACNE @ dinner
1 - GLUCOPHAGE XL @ bedtime
Then she saw that somethings were working so she then changed things around to be:
1 - GLUCOVANCE & 1 GLUCOPHAGE ... breakfast
1 - ACTOS ... lunch
1 - GLUCOVANCE & 1 GLUCOPHAGE ... breakfast
So ... just in the last 2 years ... I have gotten off all my pills except that I am still taking the GLUCOVANCE at breakfast & dinner !! NO OTHER PILLS at all !!
So ... what is everyone else on ?

I'm am not on any meds....
I am on a whole slew of meds but then I have been diabetic for 17 years. I am on Lantus in the morning, starlix with each meal, januvia in the morning, metformin with breakfast and dinner and symlin with each meal. Since I started on the januvia I have been able to decrease the amount of Lantus that I am taking. I dropped it 6 units per days which is wonderful. My doctor wants to see if I can come off the starlix but I don't know if this is going to work or not. Maybe I can take a smaller dose. She has also given me permission to drop the insulin dose some more if I need to. What we are trying at this point to do is to prevent me from going on both long acting insulin (Lantus) and short acting insulin. I would really like not to have to take more than the four shots per day that I am already taking.
