Glucose and showers.....

Ok, odd question....  I have found over the years that my glucose is higher after taking a shower.  I have some thoughts on this but find it frustrating anyway.  Wonder if anyone else has noticed this.  Example.  I took my glucose when I got up.  At first it was 79.  Thought that couldn't be right so did it again and got 77.  I ate breakfast and later I took it and it was 91.  So far, so good.  I ate 4 grapes and took a shower and it was 125!  (looking for the confused icon here... lol)  To be honest, I have always found that anytime when I took my bg BEFORE showering it was lower.  Even when I had not ate!  I have to wonder if the body wash is messing with me!  Or is it the temperature?

Well, any way, has anyone else ever noticed this incosistencey?

Cheryl I guess I still question if the higher numbers really do indicate you have a higher BG level or if its remnants of some type of sweetner on your skin or even just soaked in a little that might not indicate what your true numbers are.

But it is also true that even if you glucose level is Not that high, dealing with it as if it is can cause problems if it shows high when you are going to low or if you treat what you believe is a high and it really is not.

Seems like this is an important point to get answered by the medical community!!
