Diabetes is just one of the diagnosises that make up metabolic syndrome. Obesity, elevated cholesterol and hypertension are some of the others. So it is pretty common condition. Sadly. I will check out these articles as soon as I finish here.

Pretty much everyone who has diabetes has metabolic syndrome. They go hand in hand. It's sad and a bit depressing for a diabetic like me. I think there are ways of reducing the damage.

Not everyone agrees what makes up the syndrome but here it is in a nutshell. It is a constellation of conditions that put one at high risk for heart disease.
