I found out what the 35 is- Help!

Hi everyone! OK, I got a copy of my labs today, and it turns out the the 35 I remembered is actually a 38 and its my Insulin level. My BG level was a 98, which is normal, right? So why would I be considered "pre-diabetic"? My Dr. is out of the country for a couple of weeks (Must be nice, huh? :) so I can't ask her. Any insight would be great!
Also, I have been feeling really nauseous after I eat anything for a few weeks. I get a headache and feel tired, too. It starts about 45 min or so after I start eating, and last for up to a couple of hours. It's making me crazy! Any ideas or suggestions?

I am sorry but I don't know anything about insulin levels report. You will have to ask your doctor. I also don't understand why you wouldn't be counted as having a normal blood sugar. I suspect that your doctor saw something in the insulin secretion rate.
My only suggestion is to test your blood sugar when you start to feel poorly after eating even though it is less than 2 hours. It may tell you what is going on. Keep a blood sugar diary and a food diary and takes these back to you doctor as soon as you are able to see him. He really needs to explain your lab results to you.

Your symptoms sound like low blood sugar caused by too much insulin in your blood stream. How much sugar do you eat in a day? Remember all carbohydrate converts to sugar in your intestines. This sounds like Syndrome X. This is caused by a delay in insulin release allowed blood sugar to go too high and then an over reaction by the pancreas allowing blood sugar to go too low. Solution is to reduce the carbohydrates in the food you eat. Syndrome X is a precursor to diabetes. It can be detected by a four hour glucose tolerance test.
