Hi everyone,
First off I will let you know that I have been a "lurker" here since May of this year. Here is my dilema. I am 40 yrs old.....4 kids....5'6 and 125 lbs. Total excercise freak. I got sick back in March. I had been running 5 miles at least 3 time a week and I had recently starting lifting weights....really lifting. I ended up in the emergency room due to numbness/tingling (actually had been going on for awhile but ignored it) in my left arm and right foot. Shakiness....not trembling but really shaking. Couldn't breath...heart was pounding felt like I was gong to die. Wasn't a panic attack even tho I was at work and that place will really do it to you. LOL I was having really bad headaches couldn't walk a few feet without feeling like I was winded. Had to use the bathroom all the time. It was like I had lost control of my bowels. I was a mess. They did all the bloodwork....CAT scan....chest x-ray....ekgs....NOTHING. Saw a neurologist to just rule out mild stroke..nope. The only thing that came back on my blood work was that I was dehydrated and my sugar was alarmingly low. DO not know the number. Since then I am unable to exert myself not nearly like I was. Had to stop running and lifting weights. I have lost a significant amount of weight. They did say I was hypoglycemic and to test my sugar. I have extremely low numbers on a regular basis. 50s and 60s are nothing for me on a daily basis but can see 30s and 40s also. But my numbers also go up in the 200s after I eat. But plummet quickly and very low. I have seen my PCP 3 or 4 times since and he even had me do the nuclear stress test on my heart to rule out heart disease and guess what....NOTHING. It is a struggle everyday now to feel "good". I feel like crap after I eat so I don't eat. I am tired all the time and still have the numbness in my feet mainly. Oh yeh.....my hands and feet stay cold and turn purple. Nope it's not a circulation problem. MY PCP told me I was healthy as a horse.....but I feel so bad all the time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
P.S. Yes, I know I need to find a new PCP. LOL My fiance tells me that everyday.

Hi and welcome to the board.
Did they do TSH, T3/T4 lab work to check your thyroid in all that blood work? That can cause many of the symptoms you mention and can sometimes be a one-two punch with diabetes if it's based in an autoimmune misfire/malfunction.
Since both diabetes and thyroid issues can fall into the same 'category' as far as specialists, you might want to find an endocrinologist to take a look at the situation.
