childhood diabetes questions

My daughter is displaying some signs of diabetes. She is drinking a lot which she has really done for a long time. Urinates a lot, but lately she has been going in the middle of the night too. She tells me every 20-30 minutes that she is hungry (this just started about a week ago) She has always gotten really hyper after she eats and then has a real low and irritable time until she eats again. She does tell me that she is tired a lot too which I think is strange for a three year old. Any one with any info please share. I am concerned and am going to try to get her in to the doc to get  tested tomorrow. Any advice on what to do in the mean time would be great!

my doctor is gone today and won't be there until tomorrow. I left a message with the nurse to see if someone else could see her today. I am starting to think I should just take her to a walk in clinic now and get tested. What should I feed her to drink and eat in the mean time? any suggestions would be great

I think that a walk in clinic might be a good idea.

What do you think about her other symptoms. She is wanting to eat all the time. This has come about within the last 2 weeks. She tells me all day long I'm thirsty and hungry. She has never been a big eater so this is what made the light bulb go off. She also will be really irritable and tired and then you will give her something to eat no matter what it is and she will be bouncing off the walls. We have noticed this behavior in the last few months. She also has always told me that she is tired and want to lay down. I always thought this was strange for a chld because most kids play all day and never get tired. Just wondering what you thought about all these other things. Thanks

I have an appointment with her doctor tomorrow at 1. I wanted to find out sooner but I guess I will have to wait. Thanks for all the info.
